Privacy Policy
đź“… Effective date: May 11, 2026 | Last revised: May 11, 2026
Welcome to KuberQL (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application KuberQL (the “App”), which includes Google AdMob advertising services, as well as core educational features. By using KuberQL, you agree to the terms described below.
AdMob & transparency: Our app integrates Google AdMob to deliver personalized (or non-personalized) advertisements. This policy details what data is shared with advertising partners and how you can control your ad experience.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited information to operate, improve, and monetize the app using AdMob, while respecting user privacy.
- Device & Advertising Identifiers: We collect your Android Advertising ID (AAID) or Apple IDFA (where applicable), device model, OS version, screen resolution, language, and carrier network. This data is used exclusively via Google AdMob SDK to serve relevant ads and prevent fraud.
- Account & Profile Data: If you register (optional), we store your email address, name (optional), and quiz/learning progress to sync across devices and restore your subscription status.
- Usage & Performance Data: Anonymous app interactions, feature usage, screen flow, and crash logs help us improve the user experience and fix bugs. No sensitive personal data is tied to these logs.
- IP Address & Network Data: When AdMob requests ads, your approximate location (derived from IP) may be processed to provide geographically relevant ads.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- âś“ Ad delivery & monetization: To show banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads via AdMob, using your advertising ID to limit ad repetition, measure effectiveness, and optionally offer personalized ads (subject to user consent).
- âś“ App functionality & account sync: Keep your learning history, streak records, and quiz results saved. Manage freemium access and differentiate premium users.
- âś“ Analytics & crash reporting: Enhance stability and understand user behavior (using tools like Google Analytics for Firebase).
- âś“ Legal compliance & security: Prevent fraudulent activity, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect user safety.
3. AdMob & Advertising Partners
KuberQL uses Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may collect and process data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. AdMob uses identifiers (AAID/IDFA) and IP addresses to deliver contextual or interest-based ads.
- Personalized vs. non-personalized ads: Based on your region and consent (via Google's UMP SDK), we may request to show personalized ads using your interests. You can change your ad preferences at any time via device settings or the consent dialog inside the app.
- Third-party ad partners: Through AdMob mediation, limited data may be shared with ad networks like Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, or ironSource only if you consent. Their privacy policies apply and we recommend you review them.
- Children’s policy: KuberQL does not knowingly target children under 13. If your region implies GDPR/COPPA restrictions, AdMob will serve only non-personalized ads and we disable interest-based advertising accordingly.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. However, certain limited data sharing is necessary:
- With AdMob (Google): Advertising identifiers, IP address, and device info for ad serving and reporting.
- With service providers: Cloud hosting (Firebase) and analytics tools that process data under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal obligations: If required by law, court order, or to enforce our rights and safety.
No personal data (like email or real name) is ever shared with advertising networks without explicit user permission.
5. User Consent & Controls (GDPR / CCPA / Google UMP)
- Opt-out options: You can reset your Ad ID or limit ad tracking in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Turn off Personalized Ads).
- Do Not Sell My Info: California residents may request to opt out of any “sale” of personal information – note we do not sell data, but you can disable personalized ads via device settings.
6. Data Retention & Security
Account data (email, progress) is retained until you request deletion or delete your account. Usage analytics and advertising identifiers are kept as long as required for business analytics, typically no longer than 24 months in aggregated form. We implement industry-standard security measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data. To request full deletion of your KuberQL account and any linked data (including email, progress, device registration), please send a request to our support email. You can also delete your account directly inside the App under Profile → Delete Account. After deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal compliance.
- Data portability: Export your learning data (JSON/CSV) by contacting support.
- Request withdrawal of consent: You may disable ad personalization without affecting app functionality.
8. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance
KuberQL is not intended for children under 13 years old (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. AdMob serves only non-personalized ads in age-restricted environments according to Google’s Families Policy requirements.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
The app may contain links to external websites (e.g., support articles or social media). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external site you visit.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you by posting the updated policy within the app and updating the "Last revised" date. Significant changes will be announced via an in-app notice or email (if you have registered). Your continued use of KuberQL after modifications indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
